Before you begin your weight loss journey, you should have your map in hand – or at least someplace you can easily refer back to it for future reference.
The first stop in your roadmap is…
The Plan
In order for you to be successful at weight loss, you need to have a plan.
If it’s the latest diet or fitness trend, then have your research done ahead of time.
Find the most appropriate plan that you think will work for YOU – that way you can visualize where you will be in the next three, six, or nine months, and beyond.
Also, have goals in mind.
If you want to look better in your skinny jeans…then make that your goal.
Or if you want to lose weight to be healthier and fitter…then this should be your goal.
Whatever your goal is, write it down and refer back to it often!
This will ensure that you are motivated, prepared, and ready for the journey that lies ahead.
Plot Out Your Rest Stops
Like every good road trip, there are plenty of sights to see along the way.
And your weight loss journey should be the same exact way!
By scheduling breaks – times when you don’t have to be stringent on eating or exercising – then your weight loss journey may be more successful.
Breaks along the way give your body a much-needed rest…
Allows you to enjoy foods that may have been “forbidden” on your journey…
And allows you the time to relax and focus your energy into the next stage!
Plus, breaks allow for you to look back and see the progress that you have made throughout your journey.
This may just give you the MOTIVATION, DRIVE, and DESIRE to keep going – and get in the best shape of your life while doing it!
Don’t Let One Bump Stop You
Like I said before, there may be many bumps during your weight loss journey.
One week you may lose a TON of weight…and the next you may not lose any – or you may even GAIN some back!
Whatever the bump in the road is, use it as a motivator to continue on with your journey.

Overcoming bumps – or obstacles - are a step in every weight loss program.

Once you figure it out – and you start to see success – then you know that you chose correctly, and that you have now put yourself on the right path for overall success in weight loss – or any endeavor in your life.
