Why "Cheating" On The Gym Makes It Harder To Lose Weight
...the simple "cycle" that's causing you to hold on to your fat--no matter how hard you work.
It’s the start of a new year!
And this may signal the time when you and other people change their lives for the better.
But this may not LAST, which may leave you FRUSTRATED and MISERABLE.
However, for the majority of people who go gung-ho during January, you may find yourself FATTER and UNHAPPIER than ever before.
There are many different reasons people struggle with weight loss.
It could be a lack of a GOOD plan or lack of motivation, drive, or even time.
Or it could be due to years past when you started and then eventually STOPPED your exercise program.
And this may be the NUMBER ONE reason you struggle to LOSE WEIGHT.
Let me explain…
Exercise and Weight Loss
You know that exercise is good for you.
And you also know that exercise can burn ALOT of calories.
Even regular exercise at a moderate pace may prevent weight gain, and may meet the standard for preventing obesity.
High-intensity exercise may be an even better way to burn MORE CALORIES.
And you may burn more calories for as long as THREE DAYS after you finish!
However, there is a problem: Most people DO NOT EXERCISE year round.
You and others may be short term exercisers or seasonal exercisers.
And this may be the WORST thing you can do for weight loss.
But what you might not know is by occasionally doing exercise, and then STOPPING, may actually cause you to GAIN WEIGHT.
And this may be the perfect recipe to PREVENT weight loss from happening.
Researchers have determined that by exercising and then stopping, may halt weight loss and make it harder to lose WEIGHT.
Their results might SURPRISE YOU!
And leave you wanting to exercise more…
The researchers wanted to see if increasing or decreasing physical activity would lead to weight loss or weight gain.
They also wanted to test the impact that this weight loss or gain had on runners.
Over the course of seven years, they followed male and female runners.
They determined that runners who DECREASED their activity showed a four times GREATER INCREASE in weight.
On the flip side, they noticed people who started the same running patterns after extended time off, resulted in small weight loss increases.
However, they did note that increasing the exercise workload did INCREASE weight loss.
But at a cost!
The exercisers needed to increase their running distance to LOSE WEIGHT and KEEP IT OFF, or else they noticed an increase in WEIGHT GAIN.
The researchers concluded that reducing your weekly exercise may NOT be reversed by resuming prior activity.
Your need to INCREASE your exercise intensity to lose weight
after you stop exercise for a period of time
What To Do About It
At the beginning of each year, you may start and stop an exercise program.
This starting and stopping may PREVENT you from losing weight.
Exercise may enable you to lose more weight in combination with a sound nutritional plan.
But now, starting and then stopping, and then resuming an exercise program, may make it harder for you to lose weight.
But hope is not lost!
If you increase your intensity or duration of exercise, you may improve your body’s chances of losing weight.
Every sound exercise program should include a week off or two over the course of time.
But stopping your workout for extended periods of time may prevent your body from losing the necessary weight and FAT that you want.
Stick with your exercise and you may be able to continue to lose WEIGHT and keep your METABOLISM firing!
