Just 1/2 Teaspoon Of THIS Lowers Your Blood Pressure (and improves your health)

There are a lot of things that could damage your health – especially your heart health.

High cholesterol…

High triglycerides…

Too much small, dense LDL particles and not enough buoyant, large LDL particles…

Seriously, the list goes on and on.

And although many of these risk factors may be controlled – through diet and exercise – many people opt for the easy way out, by taking prescription medications.

Now, one of the risk factors not mentioned above – that impacts ONE out of every THREE people – may not only increase your risk for a heart attack, but could also lead to a stroke as well.

What is it?  High blood pressure.

The truth is: Current statistics show that 67 million people in the US (more around the world) may suffer from high blood pressure.

Now, before you lose all hope and think that you will be the next one diagnosed, I have some great news:

There is a way to lower your blood pressure using the combination of exercise and including this popular “superfood” into your diet.

Coconut Oil, Exercise, and Blood Pressure

One of the most popular superfoods of today happens to be the use of coconut milk or oil.

And for good reason!

Research has shown that coconut oil and milk may improve heart health…improve your complexion…and even help you lose weight.

Now, you’re probably thinking that coconut oil contains a lot of fat, so how could it be good for you, right?

Yes, coconut oil and milk are extremely high in fat…

But:

It’s a great type of fat that is seldom stored and frequently used by the body to improve the health of your cells.

These fats – called medium chain triglycerides – have been linked to many of the health improvements listed above!

And that includes improving blood pressure!

In fact, a new study shows that by including coconut oil (extra-virgin) and exercise may actually lower blood pressure to normal levels.

Here’s what they found:

They found that rats supplemented with coconut oil,  exercise, or the combination of the two, showed overall lower blood pressure readings.

But here’s where it gets good:

The only group that showed really significant changes in their blood pressure – back to normotensive levels – was the group administered coconut oil AND who performed the exercise.

The researchers believed that with the exercise, the coconut oil may have been able to reduce oxidative stress levels in the blood, the heart, and the aorta.

Oxidative stress may be linked to increased inflammation and increased cellular damage.  This could lead to increases in blood pressure and damage to the heart and other cells.

The researchers concluded: “Oral supplementation with coconut oil combined with exercise training improved impaired BRS and reduced oxidative stress.”

Take Home Message

High blood pressure is a major risk factor when it comes to heart disease development, heart attack, or having a stroke.

You may be able to lower your blood pressure through diet and exercise, however, many people opt for the easy route through medications.

But there may be another option:

Coconut oil and exercise!  A recent study showed that subjects given coconut oil AND that participated in exercise were able to lower blood pressure back to normal levels.

Although the research needs to be verified, this could add yet another benefit to the list of potential benefits presented by coconut oil.

So, if you’re looking to improve your heart health – the safe and natural way – consider including coconut oil in your diet and adopting a well-structured exercise program.
