How To "Hold Up" Your Appetite To Increase Weight Loss

By Kevin DiDonato MS, CES--Level 1 Certified Precision Nutrition and Certified Personal Trainer

You and the rest of the world are faced with a very large problem.

Obesity.

In the US alone, sixty percent of adults are overweight.

And of that sixty percent, thirty percent are obese.

Obesity may lead to many different
health and medical problems

In fact, the longer you carry your weight, may INCREASE your risk for developing one or a number of different chronic diseases.

Two of the most common diseases associated with being overweight or obese are metabolic syndrome and Diabetes.

And both diseases may lead to heart diseases, cancer or arthritis.

Most of these diseases start by a simple process- inflammation.

You know when you sprain your ankle and it swells up.

Well think of that same scenario happening in your CELLS.

These injuries are not caused by trauma but by damage associated with free radicals.

And when you cells are inflamed different changes occur at the cellular level.

Free radicals may cause damage to your endothelial cells
which can cause stiffening of your artery wall

Your fat cells, which release hormones, stop producing POTENT hormones which may control appetite and tells your body when it needs to burn MORE CALORIES.

Plus, your cells may stop utilizing insulin, which can increase blood sugar circulating through your veins and arteries.

This may lead to inflammation and damage to the walls of your arteries.

Researchers, however, may have come across a breakthrough.

And most of you may include this POTENT nutrient in your diet.

And if not…..then you better pay close attention!

Now that I have your interest peaked, give me a minute to explain…

Protein and Weight Loss

Protein is a powerful nutrient which provides the building blocks for lean muscle tissue.

And this lean mass is important for keeping your fit and trim.

The problem though, not enough protein may lead to WEIGHT GAIN, especially FAT gain.

The amino acids found in protein are broken down and shuttled into your muscles.

And these building blocks may help muscle tissue heal and grow stronger.

But lacking protein may increase FAT STORES because your body lacks the building blocks it needs to maintain lean mass stores.

Lack of protein causes your muscle mass to decrease
possibly slowing down your metabolism

The Research

Researchers set out to determine if overeating and different levels of protein made significant difference in weight gain.

They took 25 participants in a randomized and controlled environment.

Their results were SHOCKING!

All the participants showed WEIGHT GAIN.

But only the participants who ate low amounts of protein showed minimal weight gain.

But the low protein group showed decreased muscles mass by as much as 1.5 pounds, which may increase body fat stores.

They did notice that groups with normal protein intake or high protein intake, did show weight gain but they INCREASED lean mass by 6.3 and 7 pounds respectively.

Plus, the normal and high protein groups showed SIGNIFICANT increases in resting metabolic rate.

Resting metabolic rate is how many calories your burn-
At REST

The normal protein group increased their resting metabolic rate by 160 calories per day, while the high protein group increased by 227 calories per day.

The researchers noted the increased in BODY FAT may be attributed to calories alone AND not to protein intake.

They also noted that increased protein intake changed metabolic rate and lean mass, but did NOT increase body fat accumulation.

Include More Protein

Everyone is trying to change their bodies and health.

And with obesity levels on the rise, weight loss is on MOST PEOPLE’S MINDS.

There may be a new way to lose weight.

By increasing your lean mass and resting metabolic rate, you may be able to SPEED up your METABOLISM.

This may lead to WEIGHT LOSS and accumulation of LEAN MASS on your body.

Normal and high intakes of protein may increase lean mass and resting metabolic rate.

And this may enable FAT to melt off your body FOREVER.

It may be difficult to increase protein at every meal, but there is an easier way to get high quality protein into your daily routine.

Supplementing your diet with a high quality protein shake may provide you with essential amino acids that are vital for muscle synthesis and growth.

One of the easiest ways to lose weight may be to increase your protein intake.

This may increase lean mass and BOOST your metabolism--like a client of mine who just celebrated her 4-month anniversay as a client with a whopping 60 LBS. total lost.  Here's her story:

Roughly 2 months ago, a person (who became a client) came walking through my door.  But she wasn’t walking like most people were…

She had her head down…

She was nervously playing with her fingers…

And she spoke as soft as a mouse (so soft that she needed to repeat a bunch of times for me to hear).

She was overweight—and has been for some time.   She started and stopped a handful of times.  She finally threw in the towel and accepted that she was going to be “fat forever.”

So I asked her why she came in to see me.  And she told me: “I am at my last resort.  My blood pressure is high…when I sit, the rolls hang over my shirt…and I can’t even go on a simple paddleboat—since I am afraid it will tip over.

I am here to see you because I want to believe that you can help me.  Yes, I have been let down before…

Yes, I have health problems that will limit me (she has foot issues)…

Yes, I have stopped and started so many times, my family thinks I am joking this time.  But I finally think I am ready.”

And that’s all I needed.  We went to work.  I gave her the credit where she was doing great and explained the areas that she was weak in.

Plus, I told her to take LeptiSense daily for at least 60 days.  I explained that 14, 25, 30 days…just wasn’t enough to really cause changes.

But in 60-days, with her new found energy and diet (and exercise) program, she would see some dramatic changes.

And did she ever!  So, even though this article is talking about protein (yes, you do need protein) to lose weight, sometimes you need a little “coach” in the corner, urging and reinforcing your behaviors to make the right changes.

If this sounds familiar—or you’re tired of not losing any weight—then LeptiSense could be the right product for you.
