What can I expect to see from using Omega Icon Krill Oil?
Krill Oil contains the omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, which are considered essential fats. There are plenty of benefits to using krill oil.
What is in Omega Icon?
Omega Icon is 100% Pure Antarctic Krill Oil. It’s harvested from the pristine waters in Antarctica, where it is virtually toxin-free (free from mercury and PCBs). This powerful oil contains the omega-3 fatty acids, DHA and EPA. Both of these fats may promote better health.
Does it cause fishy aftertaste and fish burps?
Unlike other products containing marine oil, Omega Icon Krill Oil does NOT have a fishy aftertaste. Most often, the fishy aftertaste comes from rancid oil. However, that’s not the only reason.
Fishy aftertaste and “fish burps” can come from oil that floats back to the surface of the stomach. This causes the oil to climb up the digestive tract, giving you acid reflux, a fishy aftertaste, and fish burps.
Omega Icon Krill Oil, however, mixes easily in the stomach, and doesn’t float to the top thanks to the abundance of phospholipids.
Once incorporated, it stays mixed. This prevents fishy aftertaste, and fish burps from occurring.
Can I take Omega Icon if I am pregnant?
Yes. During pregnancy, your growing baby needs plenty of DHA—which you can get from Omega Icon Krill Oil.
Although we do recommend it, you should always consult your doctor, OB/GYN, or family doctor to determine if Omega Icon Krill Oil is right for you.
Are there medications that interfere with Omega Icon?
Yes, there are. Krill Oil may slow blood clotting and have a blood thinning effect in the body. This may increase the chance of bruising and bleeding. It should NOT be used with other medications that could impair blood clotting such as: Plavix, Diclofenac, Naproxen, and others.
It may also interfere with medications that prevent the absorption of fat. Medications, such as Alli and Orlistat, may interfere with the absorption of Krill Oil. However, if you do want to use Krill Oil, you should do so at least 2 hours after taking any fat-blocking medications.
Is it safe to take for adults?
Yes. Omega Icon is safe for healthy adults without any health complications. If you have any bleeding problems, are allergic to shellfish, or you’re taking medications that could interfere with Krill Oil, consult a doctor before using.
What makes Omega Icon different than fish oil?
The main difference between Fish Oil and Krill Oil is how it is bound. The omega-3s in fish oil are bound by a triglyceride backbone, making it harder to convert into usable fatty acids.
The omega-3s in Krill Oil, however, are bound by a phospholipid backbone, therefore making it easier for your body to use and absorb the fats. Krill Oil also has choline and Astaxanthin, which have shown promise for improving health.
Fish oil does NOT contain choline or Astaxanthin, which could make it easier for Fish Oil to become rancid.

Does the fish oil become rancid?
Fish oil is one of the most common oils that may become rancid. After processing, most fish oil sits in barrels where it may be exposed to high temperatures and air that could leave the oil rancid.
