Easter was yesterday…
And that means the store shelves were clogged with candy, Easter baskets, and fluffy bunnies.
It’s also just another time when people tend to go overboard on the sweet treats and candy, which could be devastating to their waistline.
But there is one problem: With all the different types of candy out there, it’s pretty hard to determine which one is the WORST for your belly.
Well, I have news for you…
They are all bad – when consumed in excess! They are loaded with sugar and extra calories that may not fit into dietary calculations!
Now, in the spirit of the holiday, even though most candy is bad, these FOUR should be avoided at all costs if you want to keep your flat belly and skinny thighs:
1. Peeps
As you know, fat is not the problem when it comes to fat loss. That’s why people love to overindulge in peeps!
Although labeled as fat-free, these tiny little chicks are filled with roughly eight grams of sugar which could add up to a lot more calories depending on how many you have.
And, of course, no one can stop at just one peep! A package of four peeps contains about 130 calories, which could simply end up on your hips, thighs, and belly!
Skip these dangerous little fellas if you want to stay on track this holiday.
2. Crème Eggs
This is a staple during the Easter season. These tiny chocolate eggs, with the rich-creamy filling, pack a whopping 150 calories and 25 grams of carbs – mostly refined.
And most people can’t seem to stop at one! Eating way too many of these traditional candies may be devastating to your waistline if you’re not careful.
3. Peanut Butter Eggs
Another staple at the holiday season (think trees for Christmas time and pumpkins at Halloween), peanut butter eggs are a fat trap waiting for you.
These eggs are specially created during the holidays and pack a wallop when it comes to calories, fat, and grams of sugar.
These decadent peanut butter eggs contain 180 calories – or more – depending on how many you pop in your mouth through the course of the day.
4. Chocolate Bunnies
We have saved the BEST for last! Everywhere you go, there are dozens of chocolate Easter bunnies staring you in the face, begging to be added to your cart.
But don’t be fooled by their cute personalities and innocent looking faces! The bigger chocolate bunnies pack a caloric punch – at 1,050 per bunny – which could easily pack on the pounds.
The little ones may be just as bad! A littler bunny tops the caloric scale at 140 calories! Although significantly less than the big bunny, both are filled with too much sugar and calories to risk when you’re trying to slim down for the summer.
Skip the Candy to Get a Leaner Body
It seems that Big food wants to keep everyone fat – regardless of the day of the year.
With Easter coming up, the stores are packed full of candies and treats – all geared to keep you fat and unhealthy every day of the year.
But:
If you want to prevent the extra fat gain during the holidays – or everyday – then you need to avoid the candies from above.
This could lead to a slimmer, toner, and leaner body, but more importantly, keep your fat loss on track through the spring.
