RESEARCHERS CONFIRM: This Is The #1 Diet To Boost Your Fat Loss
By Kevin DiDonato MS, CES
It seems like there is a lot of hype in the weight loss industry.
New diet crazes come along every other day, which leaves consumers like you confused as to what will work and what won’t work.
For example, a few years ago, the media was telling us that low-fat diets are the ONLY way to lose weight.
But:
As the years went by, low-fat diets started to become the anti-diet and one that wouldn’t help you LOSE weight—but only helped you GAIN it!
And this begs the question: “What diet should you follow that will help you LOSE the fat?”
Well, let us help you answer that one once and for all!
Low-Carb Diets and Weight Loss
Surprise, surprise…
Low-carb diets win out! Well, compared to low-fat diets that is!
You see, way back when, people used to think that fat would make you, well, FAT.
But today, you know a little bit more about healthy fat intake and what it can do for your body.
Plus, you also know that low-fat diets typically are filled with sugar, additives, sweeteners, and other artificial ingredients that easily could make you fat in the long run.
Now, before I go any further, I will say this: There are still some people who believe that LOW-FAT diets are the only way to lose fat.
Even some doctors and researchers may still believe this!
But, to debunk the low-fat diet craze, researchers from Harvard have come to a pretty interesting conclusion:
Low-carb diets are the way to go if you want to slim down, get rid of love handles, or burn off your tabletop booty.
Really, they have!
A recent study published in the prestigious journal PLoS One, shows that low-carb diets are actually better at boosting weight loss compared to low-fat diets.
They also showed, and this is a big one since heart disease is by far the biggest killer of men and women around the world…
…that a low-carb diet may reduce your risk for developing heart disease! The theory may be that filling your diet with healthy fats may improve the health of your cells, lower cholesterol (omega-3 fatty acids), and may suppress your appetite so you don’t feel like eating again!
From their work, they concluded: “This trial-level meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials comparing LoCHO diets with LoFAT diets in strictly adherent populations demonstrates that each diet was associated with significant weight loss and reduction in predicted risk of ASCVD events. However, LoCHO diet was associated with modest but significantly greater improvements in weight loss and predicted ASCVD risk in studies from 8 weeks to 24 months in duration. These results suggest that future evaluations of dietary guidelines should consider low carbohydrate diets as effective and safe intervention for weight management in the overweight and obese, although long-term effects require further investigation.”
Simply put, the low-carb diet performed better for overall weight loss results and a reduction in heart disease!
Pretty cool, right?
