The other day, I made a huge discovery (at least to me it was)…
A discovery so big that it has somewhat changed my whole thought process when it comes to weight loss.
It’s not an intense fat loss routine…
It’s not a brand-new, never-seen-before diet…
Or a new miracle drug that promises to strip away years of unwanted fat.
No, this discovery is much bigger than that…
And it will completely change YOUR outlook on how you go about losing weight and burning fat…
The “Discovery”
The “discovery” I made is no real secret.
And in a minute I will reveal a simple trick to losing the weight once and for all…
In fact, researchers and scientists have known for years that THIS WORKS – without crazy caloric restriction, unnecessary weight loss surgery, or even spending long hours at the gym.
If you just change ONE thing in your daily life – that is, getting out and moving more – then you may find yourself leaner and trimmer than ever before.
You see, as most Americans, you may have a desk job that requires you to spend long hours on your butt with very little movement throughout the day.
This is why the average American only gets roughly 2,000 steps in on any given day!
In fact, as a society, it’s simply easier to hit the send button then get up and hand-deliver a message.
Could this be why our waistlines are increasing?
Could this be why there is a higher risk for chronic diseases, such as diabetes and heart disease?
It sure could be!
You see, the typical recommendation for steps throughout out the day, is right around 10,000 – which many Americans fall very short of.
Which brings me to the “discovery”…
N.E.A.T. and Fat Loss
The discovery I have stumbled upon was something called N.E.A.T. – or non-exercise activity thermogenesis.
Basically this refers to any activity that is not sleeping or structured exercise, that boosts your daily caloric output.
Such activities can include mowing the lawn, walking to work, typing, fidgeting, and leisurely bike rides, and all fall under the category of non-exercise activity.
The results of countless studies show that N.E.A.T. is a critical component to how we maintain our body and/or how we develop obesity or lose weight.
In fact, one study showed that obese people were seated nearly 2.5 hours MORE than their lean counterparts.
But, if these same people were to increase their N.E.A.T. – by sitting less and moving around more throughout the day – they could expend an additional 350 calories per day!
This could lead to changes in bodyweight and composition, which is good for everyone’s health.
The higher your non-exercise activity is, the lower your risk for being overweight, obese; and if you will suffer from chronic diseases.

As a society, we simply don’t move enough!
In fact, the average person doesn’t meet the recommended daily steps of 10,000 during the day.
It could be due to the demands at work…
Or relaxing at home…
But whatever it is, it needs to change!
That’s why researchers are encouraging people to lead a more active lifestyle, by moving more throughout the day.
Parking further away from the office…
Hand-delivering your message instead of emailing…
And push mowing your lawn, are all great ways to increase your non-exercise activity.
And this could do wonders for your health…your weight loss…and your risk for developing any number of chronic diseases.
So for your health, consider getting in more N.E.A.T. time to boost your calorie burn and shed some of that extra weight that’s been holding you back.
