Now, most people know that MSG increases blood pressure and may even lead to heart palpitations. But, what they may not know is that MSG may cause unruly food cravings.
And these cravings may lead to you eating more food – which totally negates your fat loss.
Avoid MSG and other common ingredients (hydrolyzed vegetable protein, vegetable powder, and glutamate) that may just be sneaky names for MSG.
2. HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup)
One of the easiest – and cheapest – ways to sweeten foods is by using high fructose corn syrup.
But, the damaging effect this ingredient has on your fat loss is unimaginable.
Not only does HFCS get broken down and processed by your liver, but your liver then turns it into fat.
And this fat is stored in your fat cells for later use! This may cause you to become overweight, obese, have insulin resistance, or it may even (due to long-term exposure) lead to heart disease.
3. Trans-Fats
There are a LOT of harmful ingredients that may destroy your body, however, trans-fats rank close to the top.
The process of making trans-fats is simply taking oil and injecting hydrogen ions into it. This makes the oil solid, which is then put into YOUR food.
This fat – the WORST fat out there – may lead to the development of cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.
This would be the NUMBER ONE ingredient to avoid for better health – and fat loss.
Choose HEALTHY Foods
If you want to lose fat, then it would be best to avoid the three ingredients listed above.
You should be focusing on whole food sources, like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats if you want to have a chance of changing your body this year.
