By Kevin DiDonato MS, CES
Let me guess…
You want to lose weight and get back into your skinny pants you used to wear in high school?
Or you want to be the guy the ladies drool over at the gym or on the beach?
Perhaps you are tired of feeling depressed about how you look in the mirror and you finally want to do something about it.
Let me tell you something…
With all the hype…all the fancy gadgets…and all the miracle diets and pills, where is someone like you going to turn to get the BEST information about losing weight?
That’s right! You’re going to turn to us! We have been in the business of changing people’s lives for the better for numerous years.
And that brings me to my point…
If you want the best flat belly…belly slimming…thunder thigh killing…table top booty erasing fat loss tips, then you have some to the right place.
Not only will we tell you what food you need to AVOID in order to achieve your goals…
…we are going to give you the foods (and exercises) to get you’re a slamming body in no time at all!
So, let’s get the party started by listing out FOUR foods that you should be avoiding if you ever want to see a flat belly again:
1. Soda
Everyone—now and again—likes to have a bubbly soda.
Face it, it’s pretty tasty and those bubbles seem to send a wave of pleasure down your throat.
But, if there’s one thing you need to avoid, then it would be soda! Why?
Most soda is sweetened with sugar (now) or high fructose corn syrup. Both, of which, has been linked to out-of-control blood sugar levels, weight gain, diabetes, and even cancer.
But what about diet soda? Diet soda may be just as bad! Research shows that diet soda may increase your chance for developing diabetes, leads to unruly food cravings, and could spike your blood sugar.
If you’re serious about losing some pounds—whether it be a few or a lot—then skipping out on both diet soda and soda should be considered a must.
Drink more water—and avoid soda—if you want to fit into a size smaller by the end of the month.
2. Alcohol
Studies show that having a drink or two per night is good for your heart.
In fact, one study even showed moderate alcohol consumption (like I said, ONE or TWO a night) may reduce the risk for heart disease in men by a whopping 51 percent.
However, here’s the downside of alcohol.
Like many other drinks, beer and wine contain a lot of calories that are empty and unsatisfying.
They may hold no nutritional value whatsoever, which makes just one drink, one too many.
Too many added calories to your day could lead to increased fat gain around your waist.
And who usually can stop at just one or two? Drinking also may lower your inhibitions and make you crave foods you normally wouldn’t go for.
3. Bagels
Sorry breakfast fans, but bagels are a no-no if you want to achieve the flat belly look!
The majority of bagels are made from processed and refined ingredients. From bleached flour to added sugar, these heavily processed items are a blood sugar nightmare waiting to happen.
Depending on the brand and size, bagels can run anywhere from 200 to 500 calories! Add the spread on top and you’re looking at another 100 to 200 calories.
For those who are watching their calorie intake, this could easily railroad the rest of the day for you.
Besides the high calorie count, most bagels (and processed foods) always seem to lead to weight gain.
So, it would be best to avoid heavily processed or refined foods such as bagels.
4. Processed Meats
Not only is processed meat not good for your waistline, it’s not good for your health in general.
Processed meat contains way too much sodium, some as much as your days intake, which could lead to issues with heart health and blood pressure.
And all that sodium could lead to bloating and significant water retention.
Not good when you’re trying to slim down and fit into your best dress or pants from last year.
Take Home Message
There are a lots of food out there that could shrink your waistline and slim your belly.
These foods aren’t in that category.
Bagels (processed carbohydrates), processed meats, soda, and alcohol may be some of the least friendly foods when it comes to boosting your overall fat loss.
But:
If you do want to maintain your weight loss—and maybe shed a few more—then avoiding these foods should be your first priority.
