The 1 Carb You Should NEVER Eat (plus 3 others to AVOID)
By Kevin DiDonato MS, CES
There are a lot of foods you should be eating to lose weight…
…and a lot of other foods you shouldn’t be eating.
Some will help you burn fat, while others—due to crafty marketing techniques—may do little to help slim your waistline.
An example of a food that is marketed as a weight loss food is diet soda.
Diet soda contains ZERO calories and ZERO grams of fat. Sounds good right?
But what the companies don’t tell you—and what researchers in Texas have—is that diet soda may be making you
FATTER and unhealthier.
But thanks to clever marketing, these companies are able to pad their bottom lines and line their shareholders' pockets with your hard-earned money.
Doesn’t seem fair right?
Well, I am going to give you some other foods to avoid, just sit tight for a moment…
The WRONG Foods to Eat
There is much debate in the health industry on what makes a food bad and unhealthy.
However, most agree that foods that are processed contain too much sugar, and too many trans-fats that may be bad for your health…
...and your waistline!
One such food is carbohydrates. Let me tell you, this debate could go on forever. But I am here to tell you one thing:
You need to AVOID this one carb—at all costs—regardless of the sneaky marketing techniques.
Which food is it?
It’s supposed “fat-free” healthy chips made with Olean. You see, Olean is a man-made chemical that is supposed to block fat absorption.
What it does is causes a lot of digestive issues, including anal leakage. Who wants that?
The worst part of this so-called “healthy chip” is that it’s not healthy at all!
In fact, these chips have been shown to disrupt digestion, upset your stomach, and prevent the absorption of key vitamins and minerals your body needs to start healthy.
Now, this is the ONE carbs you need to avoid, let’s check out some other foods you should think about getting rid of.
1. Yogurt
I am all about having a yogurt for a snack since it’s a great source of protein.
However, most commercial yogurts contain the #1 enemy to fat loss: high-fructose corn syrup.
The only type of sugar that you should find in yogurt is the naturally occurring sugars that you would normally find in a glass of milk.
Oh, one more thing…
Most commercial yogurts are pasteurized, meaning they have been overly processed before they even hit the store shelves.
And this process kills any of the healthy probiotics that you may find in the yogurt. So, even though most yogurts promote “active cultures” or “probiotic-blends,” if it’s pasteurized, then there’s a good chance those bacteria have been killed off.
2. Wheat Bread
Wheat bread has been marketed as an alternative to white breads, and for good reason.
Whole wheat breads contain boatloads of fiber, plenty of vitamins and minerals, and less of a blood sugar reaction.
However, you still need to read the ingredient label! You see, marketers know you may be geared to getting healthy or losing a few pounds.
And this is why they market the product appropriately—to entice health consumers to buy their products.
If you look closely, however, you will see that sugar may be a main ingredient in the product. From corn syrup to brown sugar solids, sugar may be found in numerous places on the ingredient panel.
3. Health Bars
Health bars sure don’t live up to their names!
Some of the top makers of health bars trick you into buying their products so you may be able to lose weight or improve your health.
However, once again, look closely at the label and you may see that they contain many different forms of sugar and other dangerous chemicals.
AVOID These Foods for a Flat Belly
If you want to get a flat belly, tone thighs, or a tight butt and legs, then you need to avoid the foods from above.
They contain loads of sugar, which could cause your brain the crave junk food or other unhealthy foods all the time. This could railroad your fat loss goals, therefore keeping you fat and unhappy instead of lean and in shape.
Once again, if you want to flatten your belly and speed up your metabolism then you need to skip the four foods from this list.
