THIS Causes Your Heart To Outgrow Your Body?

Over the years, we have stressed that a healthy diet is the way to go when it comes to losing weight and improving your health.
But what does a "healthy diet" consist of?
The big things that we recommend are as follows:
Lean cuts of meat
Wild-caught fatty fish (loaded with omega-3 fatty acids)
Complex carbohydrates, such as oats, sprouted grain breads, and potatoes
And plenty of fruits and vegetables
Things you should be AVOIDING:
Processed and refined foods
Deep fried foods
Fruit juices
Soda
The majority of these foods contain anti-nutrients – or foods that hold very little nutritional value – as well as high levels of trans-fats, additives, and high fructose corn syrup.
Let’s touch on high fructose corn syrup for a moment…
The TRUTH About HFCS
High fructose corn syrup is a killer – no doubt about it!
It’s been shown to stimulate fat gain…metabolic syndrome…and diabetes.
Plus, it may be linked to cancer, heart disease, and issues with cognitive function.
But, Big Food will try to convince you differently. They will try to spin positives on eating HFCS as a way to improve health – instead of destroying it.
Now, there’s a new threat associated with high fructose corn syrup – heart failure!
You see, consuming fructose and high fructose corn syrup may lead to the liver converting most – if not all – of that fructose directly into fat.
No passing go, no collecting $200!
It’s a one stop shot at increasing your fat gain and skyrocketing your risk for developing diabetes and metabolic syndrome (condition characterized by high blood pressure, large waist circumference, and a poor lipid profile).
But here’s where it impacts your heart:
Although seen in studies before – but only recently confirmed – the overconsumption of fructose may lead to an uncontrolled growth in your heart tissue.
Eventually, this out-of-control growth could lead to heart failure, simply because your heart may lose its ability to function normally in the body.
And combining that with high blood pressure (most with metabolic syndrome may have high blood pressure) means that it may be that much harder to get the nutrient-rich blood to your heart – and other areas of your body.
How does this impact your heart?
For starters, lack of oxygen to the heart leads to anaerobic (without oxygen) metabolism. Literally, you are taking glucose molecules and splitting them to create energy.
And when your heart is primarily using anaerobic metabolism as its main energy source, the heart will flip an internal cellular switch, which then results in a cascade of events that could lead to increased heart muscle growth.
The end result (if you don’t change your diet to reduce HFCS intake) may ultimately be heart failure.
Steps to Take Next
If you want to prevent excessive weight gain, protect your health, and possibly prevent heart failure, then you should QUIT eating fructose and high fructose corn syrup.
What about fruit? Doesn’t that contain fructose?
Absolutely! Fruit, however, has not been linked to heart failure or increased heart muscle. This could be due to the high fiber, trace minerals, and other nutrients found in fruit – besides fructose itself.
Food items you should be avoiding are: soda, refined and processed foods, and some condiments.
By avoiding these foods, you may spark your metabolism, burn fat, and improve your overall heart health.
