Will Your Breakfast Give You A Heart Attack?
I have a question for you…
It’s one that may make or break your day and may be a little controversial – depending on what side of the fence you’re on.
My question for you is: Do you frequently consume eggs as part of a healthy breakfast?
See, I told you it was controversial!
You see, years ago studies showed that eggs were BAD for your health, all due to the cholesterol contained in the yolk.
This led to doctors, cardiologists, and other medical professionals warning about the dangers of consuming too many eggs – or eggs in general – because they may lead to the development of clogged arteries and heart disease.
Fast forward to today and you will find some very conflicting information about eggs.
Some say they are GREAT for your health, while others say they’re not.
Which side of the fence are you on?
Eggs and Heart Disease
When you crack your eggs in the morning – does the yellow inside the egg strike fear in your heart?
Or, when making your omelet, do you use an egg substitute in order to get the benefits of “real” eggs – instead of using the real thing?
If you answered yes, you should know that there are THOUSANDS of people just like you!
Now, due to the myths about eggs, many people have avoided eggs – although it is a complete protein with healthy fats – in fear that they may increase their risk for heart disease.
Although studies have shown that cholesterol in eggs pose very little danger, people still avoid them like the plague.
Now, a brand new study published this year, may ease some people minds…
The researchers looked at eight different studies…
Addressing 17 different reports…
And covering over four million people!
Here is what they found:
The study showed that higher egg consumption was not associated with an increased risk for heart disease or stroke.
Higher egg consumption was defined as up to one egg per day.
Also, they found no risk between higher egg consumption and stroke risk.
They concluded:
“Higher consumption of eggs (up to one egg per day) is not associated with increased risk of coronary artery disease or stroke.”
They did mention that the increase of eggs in diabetic populations does warrant further research.
The Wonderful, Edible Egg
Eggs - which are a great source of protein, fats, vitamins, and minerals – are an important nutrient to have in any diet.
However, due to the amount of cholesterol (roughly 210 mg), many people shy away from eggs or turn to an egg substitute, in part due to the fear associated with the increased risk for heart disease or strokes.
And this could be providing a disservice to your body and health.
Simply put, eggs still may be a valid source of high-quality proteins, vitamins, minerals, and fats that your body needs to function on a daily basis.
Those nutrients may provide the building blocks for lean muscle…
Antioxidants for cellular health…
And healthy fats that may control many processes that occur in your body on a daily basis!
Plus, they may keep you feeling satisfied after your meal – all due to the satiety effects of protein.
Now, if you’re looking for other nutrients that may improve heart health, promote weight loss, and add other benefits - then look no further than THIS special FAT…
