It Strips 5 LBS. Of Body Fat In 2 Weeks
Have you ever started an exercise program hoping that it would jump start you into eating better?
Or have you ever started a diet plan, hoping that it would springboard you into exercising and getting healthier?
Well, you’re not alone!
There are many people around the world – and right in your own backyard – who start a plan by changing one behavior, then hoping that the second behavior would magically happen later.
Truth is: sometimes it does, but in most cases, it doesn’t happen this way!
So what should a person do?
Well, you’re about to find out…
Combining Two Habits
Diet and exercise are extremely important to weight loss and overall health.
Now, can you lose weight doing one or the other? Of course you can!
For all sake and purpose, however, you should know that by changing your diet you should lose weight…
And, by just exercising you may also lose weight…
But remember, you can’t out-exercise a poor diet!
At some point in time, the poor eating habits you may have while exercising, probably have a pretty good chance of catching up to you.
Now, the combination of diet and exercise, however, may be the most effective means at boosting weight loss and adopting healthier habits.
In fact, researchers from Stanford University have shown that starting both – at the same time – may result in greater fat loss!
Here’s what they found:
Over 200 people participated in a 12-month telephone intervention where one group started either a diet or exercise program first, then after four months, the other intervention was added.
They found that 93 percent of people stuck with the program the entire 12 months.
Also, they noted that at four months, only exercise improved physical activity, while only diet improved dietary intake for daily recommended foods.
However, combining diet and exercise together, resulted in more people reaching the physical activity recommendations AND daily recommended food intakes.
They concluded:
“We observed a possible behavioral suppression effect of early dietary intervention on physical activity.”
How To Get Started
As you can see, using both a proper diet and a well-structured exercise program is a key to, not only losing weight, but keeping it off for the long haul.
So how do you go about starting (for those who don’t know what to do)? It’s pretty easy.
First, you need to start slow. Start by making little changes to your diet. That could be increasing the amount of water you drink, or even switching out a dessert for a piece of fruit.
Little changes go a long way to improving your health.
Once you get comfortable with that, then you can start adding in more protein, spread out your meals throughout the day, increase your fat intake, and reduce the amount of sugar you currently consume.
After that, you can start experimenting with carb cycling, low-carb options, or just balancing out your plate to include fat, protein, and simple carbs that your body can break down easier.
As for exercise, hit the trails or take a short walk (10 minutes). Start increasing your time before you increase your intensity.
And don’t overdo it. Start off trying for 3 days a week. Once your body gets accustomed to exercise, you can start with a bodyweight training program.
Including pushups, squats, lunges, crunches, planks, and jumping jacks are a great way to condition your muscles and increase your metabolic rate.
Editors Note: In order to get your metabolism firing, you need to be sure you have all the right nutrients in your diet--and that is it is easy to prepare. We have got that for you! CLICK HERE For The Easiest Way To Start Your Day With All The Nutrition You Need.
As you progress with your exercise, you can start including free weights and doing different forms of cardio (think swimming, biking, running, etc.) that will help to burn excess calories.
Yes, this process will take some time, but if you do it the right way, you’re going to see changes in your body and you may prevent a plateau (no changes) from occurring.
Diet and Exercise = Better Results
Losing weight is a game of burning more calories than you are taking in. And the best way to ensure you win the game would be to watch the foods you eat, cut back on your portions (lower calories), and exercise in order to create a perfect storm for calorie burning.
However, if you JUST DIET or JUST EXERCISE, you may be robbing your body of the chance to really burn fat and lose weight fast!
Researchers from Stanford have shown that starting a DIET and EXERCISE program are more effective for burning fat AND losing weight.
So what are you waiting for? Start eating better and exercising to burn a lot more fat and give yourself the body you’ve been dreaming of!
