Your Dinner Shopping List
There are many different foods that you can eat for weight loss.
In fact, there are hundreds of options available to you, no matter what season of the year it is!
Now, the problem is not the hundreds of foods that are available, the problem is what are the BEST foods for losing weight.
And focusing those foods on breakfast, lunch, and dinner…
So what are the BEST weight loss foods you can eat for dinner?
Well, here is a short list…
Weight Loss Foods for Dinner
You come from work in a panic because you’re unsure of what to have for dinner.
You run in, run straight to the freezer and rip the door open…
Nothing!
There is simply nothing “healthy” in the freezer.
So you open the fridge door and the result is the same.
So you run, grab your keys and head out the door to the supermarket.
And once you walk in the door, your mid starts racing and your stomach start grumbling.
What to have for dinner? Or better yet, what healthy dinner can I create for myself and my family tonight?
So you start your shopping…
You head to the produce department and you pick up…
Salad Greens!
Normally, you wouldn’t associate salad green with dinner (expect for maybe a small side salad) but what you may not know is that salad greens are a great low-calorie option as the main part of your meal, or even on the side.
Greens are full of vitamins, minerals, water, and fiber, which make it a perfect pairing if you’re looking to lose weight.
Shop around your produce section and you may find hundreds of options that could top your salad.
If you’re looking for weight loss, greens as a perfect way to go.
The low-calorie and low-fat option of greens makes it a perfect complement to any pairings on your plate, including your complex and simple carbs.
Now, you place the greens in your shopping cart and pick up a few mushroom, cucumbers, and onions, to top off your greens.
But you need something else…
Something a little more filing…
So you head straight for the blueberries!
Blueberries are a perfect, high-octane carbohydrate to include with your meals on the side.
Not only are they high in fiber and low in calories, but they have plenty of antioxidants that have been shown to support optimal health.
Plus, those same antioxidants have been shown to reduce inflammation and improve longevity!
Wait, anti-aging? YES!
Once again, you have found another low-calorie and low-fat side that provides your body with the nutrients it needs to provide better
health and improve your body’s ability to burn FAT!
Now, you have all your produce, so you head to the seafood counter.
Here you will find…
Wild-caught Salmon, Halibut, or other fatty fish!
Fish is not only a great source of protein – which your body needs to repair and build lean muscle mass –but fish is chock full of heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids.
Besides, protein is an important aspect for weight loss.
The more protein you have, the harder your body has to work to break that protein down (thermic effect of food) therefore creating a higher calorie burn.
Plus, you can top this off with olive oil to enhance the taste, flavor, and health benefits of the fish.
A three ounce side of salmon may give you upwards of 20 grams of protein.
Okay, now you have your fish, but you have a person who doesn’t like fish, so you push your cart to the meat section.
Here you may find…
Grass-fed red meat or free-range chicken.
Both great sources of protein and each one boosting its own nutritional value, chicken and lean red meat are great selections to include on tip of your salad or as your main protein source.
Now, although red meat has some degree of saturated fat, it’s okay! Saturated fat is needed by your body to help with hormone production and other important cellular activities.
So don’t hold back. It’s okay to eat lean red meat once or twice a week!
Okay, so now you have your meat, your fish, your salad ingredients, what’s left?
You could use some form of complex carbohydrate.
Now, you could turn and go back to the produce section and pick up a couple of sweet potatoes, or you could go to the organic section and pick up a loaf of sprouted grain bread or some long-grain brown rice.
Your shopping experience is now complete.
Now, it’s time to go home and cook a wonderful, healthy, fat-busting meal for you and your family!
Oh, and don’t forget, if you eat right and you exercise, then that’s half the battle on fat loss. But there is something that may aid you in your fat loss attempt:
