The Weird Way You're Sabotaging Fat Loss Without Knowing It
There is a new theory in town.
And it may shed some light into why people become overweight or obese.
But remember, this is only a THEORY and one that needs further research.
It may show you a valid reason why people become overweight or obese.
And how, through no fault of their own, they fall victim to a cycle which speeds up weight gain.
4 Risk Factors For Becoming Overweight
Before I mention the 4 risk factors, you need to understand one thing.
With most of these risk factors, you can CHANGE them for the better.
If you find yourself with one or more risk factors, it does NOT mean you WILL or have no choice but to adopt this specific lifestyle.
So onto the 4 risk factors:
• Low education
• Family history of obesity or weight gain
• Physical inactivity
• Majority of meals being heavy on meat and junk food and low in fruits and vegetables
You may have the ability to change MOST of these risk factors for the better.
Diet and exercise are easy fixes which
may help you shed pounds fast
Diet and exercise topped the list as the EASIEST ways to improve lifestyle habits.
Obesogenic Environment
The environment everyone lives in may be geared towards a sedentary lifestyle.
Fast food joints are on every block.
And there is no getting rid of them.
You are always on the go.
You drive more, leading to more snacking in your car, with the occasional stop at your favorite fast food joint.
There are more restaurants and places to eat than there were 20 years ago, and most have menus with entrees that may top the calorie charts.
Our society has been shifted into a more sedentary lifestyle.
And it is full of fat laden and nutrient dense foods which may contribute to the rise in obesity.
How does this add to obesity?
By 2030, 86% of our population is projected to be obese
There are risk factors which are modifiable.
You can change your exercise patterns and increase your physical activity.
You can go back to school and earn a higher degree or get more extensive training.
And you can stop telling yourself that because your parents are overweight or obese you will be, creating a stumbling block for your weight loss.
Yes genetics may play a role in your ability to lose weight, but it does not have to be a STOPPING point.
You just have to work harder!
Western diets may be full of energy dense foods that pack a lot of calories and trans-fats.
Your diets may full of nutrient dense, high calorie
foods, which make us FAT and UNHEALTHY
And when eaten frequently throughout the day may lead to increased weight gain.
Diets rich in meat and junk food are lacking in fruits and vegetables.
This may also lead to increased FAT around your waist.
But it does not mean to throw in the towel.
Let me explain…
Research shows that normal weight people gained FEWER ADDITIONAL POUNDS even though they had overweight parents, a low education or a poor diet.
The opposite was true for overweight people.
The more overweight you are the HIGHER you
chances are of GAINING more WEIGHT
Researchers noticed that with all the factors there was a continued increase in weight.
And it may be due to a sedentary lifestyle and poor food choices.
What Is The Next Step?
The next step should be clear to you: if you have a poor diet, change it.
If you do not exercise, start a walking program or increase your physical activity.
Increasing activity may result in additional weight loss.
Taking the right steps by starting an exercise program and changing
your diet is a GREAT START to losing WEIGHT
Changing your diet by making fruits and vegetables a priority and avoiding nutrient dense, high calorie foods may also result in increased weight loss.
Making small changes in your lifestyle may lead you on your way to better health and a longer, fuller and happier life.
