Are You Consuming THESE Essential Nutrients?

The Health Pyramid and Your Health
There is a good chance that you bought a supplement because you wanted to improve your health in some capacity (lower blood pressure, cholesterol, weight loss, etc.).

So, what exactly is the Healthy Pyramid?
Well, in order to improve your health, there are certain essential nutrients that your body needs to maintain (or improve) your health.
They are called essential because your body is unable to produce them, so you need to get them from outside sources.
Now, a sound diet could provide many of the essential nutrients your body needs. However, due to the poor state of your diet, you may be lacking in those essential nutrients.
Surprisingly, a good majority of the population falls in this category.
And if the bottom level needs are not met, then you should forget about moving up to the next stages of the pyramid.
So what are some of the ESSENTIAL nutrients you need?
The essential nutrients your body needs are pretty simple. Nutrients like water and oxygen are must-haves in order for all of your cells to function at optimal levels.
Everyone should know that and should understand why they are important. Without both water and oxygen, life as you know it, will cease to exist.
Now, moving past water and oxygen, other essential nutrients your body needs are amino acids. Amino acids provide the building blocks for repairing your cells and building lean muscle mass.
Now, some amino acids your body may be able to produce. But for those that your body CAN’T produce, you need to consume in your diet in the form of protein or protein powder.
And just like amino acids, there are some vitamins and minerals that are extremely important for your health—that your body can’t produce.
That’s why it’s vitally important to take high-quality multi-vitamins and multi-mineral supplements to ensure that your body is getting all the essential vitamins and minerals it needs.
Now, besides amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, there are also essential fats that your body needs in order to maintain cell structure and protect your health.
These fats—called essential fatty acids—are called EPA and DHA. And although you can find these fats in some of the foods you eat (like wild-caught fatty fish and some vegetables), there’s a good chance that you’re lacking in these potent fats.
