Increase Your Belly Fat Burn?

Chili peppers have been used in weight-loss circles as a potent method for losing weight.

However, the main weight-loss component of chili peppers really are the compounds found WITHIN the chili peppers.

Capsaicinoids and capsinoids, which are the aromatic component of chili peppers and which give the peppers their heat, have been associated with positive benefits in regards to weight loss.

In fact, these compounds have been linked to increased energy expenditure, fat burning, appetite control, and even decreased energy intake.

A new study published in the journal Appetite, further strengthens the argument that capsaicinoids could be a beneficial component to many weight-loss plans or programs.

Let me explain…

Chili Peppers and Weight Loss

Chili peppers have been used in the weight loss and medical community for many years.

Capsaicin, which is one other compound found in chili peppers, has been used in supplement form as a way to boost metabolism.

The authors of this study wanted to evaluate the potential benefits of capsaicinoids and their respective compounds and their relation to weight loss.

The reviewed 90 different studies, of which only 20 covering 563 participants were included in their analysis.

They showed that there were three main areas in which capsaicinoids worked for weight loss.  They included: increased energy expenditure, fat oxidation (fat burning), and decreased appetite.

They noted that all trials had different durations and the dosages varied throughout all the studies.

They did show that by including capsaicinoids, there was an increase in energy expenditure by about 50 calories per day, which could lead to a significant amount of weight loss over a one- or two-year period.

Also, they showed that there was a decrease in abdominal belly fat, as well as a decrease in appetite throughout the trials.

However, they did note that the mechanism of action was not fully understood.  However, throughout most of the studies, they did note that it was widely accepted that capsaicinoids act on the TRPV 1 receptor, which could explain the increase in fat burning.

They concluded that capsaicinoids could be a beneficial component of any weight loss management program.

Although this study strengthens the relationship between capsaicinoids and capsinoids for weight loss, more research needs to be completed in order to fully understand their potential mechanisms and how it they increase weight loss and energy expenditure.

Capsaicinoids and Weight Loss

The aromatic component of chili peppers, capsaicinoids, has been used for many years as a way to burn fat and increase weight loss.

According to the results of this study, including capsaicinoids could be a beneficial component to any weight-loss program.

Including spicy foods, chili peppers, or capsaicinoid supplements could be a way to increase your body’s fat burning potential, therefore shredding belly fat and giving you the lean and trim body you have always wanted.
