Can You PREVENT Your Heart Attack?
By Kevin DiDonato MS, CSCS, CES
I am tired…
I am sick and tired of putting out information that no one listens to.
Look, I stress that you need to eat right…
That you need to exercise…
That you need to control the risk factors that could lead to a heart attack…
But I have got to tell you something…
You’re simply not listening! There are over 720,000 people that will have a heart attack this year alone.
And that number is projected to double – if not TRIPLE – in the years to come.
I also have to tell you: There could be a way to PREVENT your heart attack from occurring.
But are you really listening? Let’s see who is…
Lifestyle Factors and Heart Attack Prevention
I am not the only one who has preached to you…
Your doctor or cardiologist may have also tried to get through to you as well.
Here’s what we want you to know, understand, and ADOPT:
A healthy lifestyle that constitutes a good diet and exercise program, may prevent your heart attack.
And now, we have research to back up this claim!
A new study just recently published shows that a healthy diet – combined with the right lifestyle choices – could go a long way to preventing the occurrence of a heart attack.
The population-based study on Swedish men between the ages of 45 and 79, detailed their diet and lifestyle habits.
They found that men who ate a low-risk diet, plus consumed moderate amounts of alcohol, had a much lower risk for having a heart attack.
They also showed that men who used a combination of healthy behaviors – which was only 1 percent of the men in the study – may prevent 79 percent of heart attacks from occurring.
They concluded: “Almost 4 of 5 MIs in men may be preventable with a combined low-risk behavior.”
Take Home Message
There are 720,000 people around the world that will have a heart attack this year.
Those are some pretty scary statistics, when you think about it.
However, a new study shows that FOUR out of FIVE heart attacks may be preventable – with a low-risk diet and other healthy lifestyle behaviors.
So, for the heart of your heart, adopt a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, essential fats, lean proteins, and moderate amounts of alcohol.
