I am Registered Dietitian Jayson Hunter and here is your Nutrition Quickie for today.  Apply it and strengthen your nutritional foundation with multiple Quickies like this.


Trail mix is a combination of fruit and nuts which can sometimes have chocolate and grains mixed in.  

A 2oz serving of trail mix usually contains 8gms of protein. 
You can increase the protein intake by adding pistachios or almonds to the mix.  

Even though trail mix can be a healthy high protein snack it can also contain a lot of calories.  

Make sure you control the quantity and not eat too much or you might see your waistline grow.
