You’re sitting there, and the feeling hits.

You have the insatiable need to have something sweet.

It could be a donut…a pastry that “comes in a bag”…or even an afternoon candy bar.

Whatever it is you crave, you just can’t seem to make it go away…

…that is, unless you grab something sweet to satisfy your craving.

So, what exactly causes this bizarre response?

How To Make Your Brain Comfortable With Losing Weight

As you know, cravings can really wreak havoc on your body –and on your weight loss goals.

But before you choose to blame those cravings for your lack of willpower … there may be something else you should be throwing those fiery daggers at.

Your brain!

You see, your brain likes your body where it is—full of stored energy and with plenty of weight and body fat to lose.

And when you’re frustrated and you make the plan to lose weight, you brain allows it (to some degree).

It will let you lose a few pounds … but once it feels you’ve lost too much, or your body fat levels have dropped too far, then you’re in serious trouble.

Your brain kicks in and tries to put a halt on your weight loss.  It sends everything it can to push back against your efforts, which is precisely where those cravings come in.

But there is a way that you can fool your brain into being comfortable with losing weight.

The first thing you need to understand that eating less food may not be the answer.  In fact, this may make your brain pull out all the stops and make you gain even more weight than you lost.

So how can you get your body comfortable at a lower weight?

By adopting a healthier diet that includes more whole food groups, unrefined foods, and plenty of protein.

You need to cut out all unrefined food products, as they are a waste of calories and do nothing but spike your blood sugar and leave you feeling like “oh, here are those cravings again.”

By eating more unrefined, whole food options it lets your brain do the work so you can naturally lower your weight and body fat levels.

No more pushing back against your best efforts.  Combine this with more physical activity and you’re in the driver’s seat with your brain siding shotgun.

By controlling your brain for better weight loss, you can then focus your efforts on controlling your blood sugar levels.

Low Blood Sugar and Cravings

There are a lot of things that may cause the unruly cravings that destroy your day – and your fat loss.

But there are really two main things that are responsible for those cravings:

Your brain and eating sweet food!

You see, your brain may require a LOT of sugar to keep it functioning at optimal levels.

And when there is a decrease in fuel (sugar) to the brain, then chaos ensues.

Your brain sends a response to your body, stimulating your hunger for nutrient dense, sweet, calorie-laden foods.

Namely desserts, pre-packaged sweets, and candy bars!

Now, it’s pretty common sense thinking that eating sweet food would make you, well, crave sweet foods.

Do you would think that if you cut out desserts, junk food, pastries, and donuts than you should be all set, right?

WRONG!

You see, sweet foods may spike your cravings for even more sweet foods.  However, your usual suspects are not the only ones to blame.

Foods such as breads, pastas, crackers, and many others contain boatloads of sugar that could also give a boost to your cravings.

Cutting out foods that contain sugar, honey, molasses, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, and glucose solids, could go a long way to reducing your cravings…

…and boosting your fat loss in the process!

Cut Your Cravings TODAY!

There are a lot of reasons why you have cravings.

But the two biggest ones have to do with your brain and the type of food you eat.

If you’re able to keep your blood sugar stable – and allow adequate sugar to reach your brain – then you may find a reduction in cravings for junk foods.

Also, if you switch out your unhealthy food choices – junk food, processed foods, foods that contain sugar – then you may also find your cravings to be lessened throughout the day.
